According to ASN decision no. 2017-DC-0591 of June 13, 2017, accesses to an operating room containing X-ray emitting equipment must include signage appropriate to the risk.

Dosalert is an X-ray emission signalling device for the operating theatre. Thanks to this signalling system, staff outside the operating room can see whether or not the image intensifier is switched on, and whether or not it is emitting X-rays inside the room.

This system prevents the risk of exposure to X-rays for OR staff.
